The Wateree Beekeepers Association has two membership types: individual and family. $10 for an individual and $15 for a family. A "family membership" is designed for two members of the same household. 

 

At this time, local dues run from October 1 to September 30 of the following year, to get members registered before elections for the upcoming year. Elections are the first Thursday in November. New officers will take their positions on the first Thursday of January.

    For and in consideration of the Wateree Beekeepers Association (the “WBA”) providing benefits and instructional services, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the Undersigned and his or her heirs, successors and assigns hereby waives, remises, releases, and forever discharges in advance the WBA, its members, officers, board members, agents, servants, employees, spouse, sureties, heirs, successors and assigns, and all other persons, firms, corporations, and associations or partnerships related to or associated with the WBA, whether herein named or referred to, and who, together with them, may be jointly or severally liable for any injuries that may arise from or be incurred in connection with any activity.  The Undersigned grants this Waiver and General Release of Liability to the WBA even though the liability that may arise may be a result of negligence on the part of him/her or his/her respective lessors, lessees, agents, servants, employees, and heirs, successors and assigns.

    1.         The Undersigned expressly acknowledges that he/she understands accidents and injuries can occur as a result of any activities associated with beekeeping. The Undersigned hereby agrees to exercise due care and agrees to assume any and all liability associated with any personal injury or property damage that may result from any activities associated with the WBA. The Undersigned acknowledges and agrees that all activities by Undersigned, Undersigned’s immediate family, guests, invitees or licensees of the Undersigned are unsupervised and at the risk of Undersigned.

    2.         The Undersigned expressly releases the WBA and agrees to defend, hold harmless, and indemnify the WBA, its members, officers, board members, agents, servants, employees, spouse, sureties, heirs, successors and assigns, and all other persons, firms, corporations, and associations or partnerships related to or associated with the WBA, from any claims related to or arising out of or in connection with any WBA activities, including, but not limited to, claims of Undersigned, Undersigned’s immediate family, guests, invitees or licensees of the Undersigned.

    3.         It is further acknowledged that the Undersigned has the express authority to enter into this Waiver and General Release.  If the Undersigned is a minor, the legal guardian of such minor signs this Waiver and General Release on his or her behalf and by signing acknowledges that he or she is the legal guardian with the express authority to sign this instrument.
